Self Harm (SH), self-inflicted violence (SIV), and/or self injurious behavior (SIB) is a worldwide issue. It is impossible to say just how many people are suffering from this behavior.People use self-injury as a coping mechanism to relieve emotional pain or discomfort. They self harm without suicidal intent.
